Partials are used when there are a number of good, healthy teeth that are remaining in the mouth and the partial denture can use them as support to fill in the gaps. Partials may be crafted from a number of different materials which include the following;

Immediate Dentures
This is a temporary denture that is used when you are in a situation when your teeth are about to be removed and they will be replaced at a later time. The procedure consists of using the remaining teeth in the mouth for impressions which will be used as the basis for creating a temporary set. They will look very much like your normal teeth and many people will not be able to tell the difference.
Once your natural teeth are extracted, they are replaced by the immediate denture so that during the healing process you will have teeth to chew and smile. However, it must be noted that as your gums and mouth heal, there will need to be adjustments made from time to time.
